Our Conference Schedule

Our User Conference will kick off with opening remarks from Mike Hayden, the Director of Sales at Canary.

This opening session will be led by Canary's founders, Gary and Ed Stern, who will share insights into the company’s mission and future vision.

Mark Rice will take the stage to showcase the latest features and share what's ahead for the Canary Platform.

Russ Gregg, the Director of Manufacturing Solutions, will present the value of data driven decision making with the Canary system.

John will share how Software Toolbox’s suite of solutions, combined with world-class support, can help companies overcome the many challenges of data acquisition. Whether you are challenged with connection to an eclectic mix of legacy PLCs, SCADA systems, Business Systems, or more modern Web Services, Software Toolbox likely has a cost-effective, configurable off-the-shelf solution for you. John will review some of their most popular solutions and discuss how they can work in combination with Canary System Connectors and API’s to easily access the data sources you need to bring visibility to your industrial operations and assets.

This session will cover the full lifecycle of migrating from legacy historian systems (GE Proficy and Rockwell FactoryTalk Historian) to Canary Labs. Attendees will learn how we successfully migrated historical data and improved data accessibility across multiple sites and corporate operations. The migration strategy supported approximately 2,000 tags per site, with scalability designed to accommodate future growth for up to 20,000 tags. Real-time data collection was facilitated through Kepware, and a site-to-corporate historian architecture was established to centralize access for over 50 users across two sites and the corporate headquarters. Excel-based reporting was updated to utilize the Canary Labs Excel Add-In, while Axiom was implemented for real-time data visualization and report viewing.

This presentation will highlight practical lessons learned, including managing data integrity during migration, migrating historical reporting, and ensuring seamless user adoption. Join this session to gain actionable insights and proven strategies for successful historian migration and enterprise standardization.

Canary Views—also known as Virtual Views—are a powerful feature within the Canary System that allows administrators to create tailored, virtual representations of historical data stored in the Canary Historian. These views offer a flexible way to organize and visualize data, making it easier to align with your business structure and operational needs.

In this session, Ken, the Product Manager for Canary Views, will guide you through:
- An introduction to Canary Views: What they are and why they matter.
- A live demonstration of the latest features: See the newest capabilities in action.
- A look ahead: Ken will share insights into upcoming enhancements and future development plans.

Whether you're new to Canary Views or looking to deepen your understanding, this presentation will equip you with the knowledge and tools to make the most of this versatile feature.

In this session, Garrett will present and demonstrate the new features, capabilities, and user experience for Canary Calculation & Events that are being released in V25.4 to provide extended capabilities of Canary Events to support multi-phase/level events, enhanced properties, parallel events, and parent-child event tracking.  He will also discuss some of the additional features that are on the roadmap for future releases.  These new capabilities will position Canary to better support Customers that have batch processes in addition to process and discrete manufacturing operations.

Isaac will present some key features added to Axiom since version 24, highlight a few lesser-known capabilities that can enhance your workflow, and provide an exciting preview of the new batch functionality coming in version 25.4.

Ben will present how Seeq enables users to discover hidden insights in their Canary Data and other data sources through the application of Advanced Analytics, Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence, and graphical data visualizations.  Seeq enables users to leverage their operational time series data to make their business more efficient, profitable, and sustainable.

Chris will team up with Steve Mason to deliver an insightful and dynamic overview of the powerful security enhancements Canary has implemented to protect your systems and data.
